Matt received his MFA at Boston University. Prior to his studies in "Beantown," Matt graduated from Snow College and Utah State University. Seeking a more permanent home in the west, Matt is now and instructor and scene shop foreman in USU's Theatre Arts Department, where he is driven to help the production aspect of the department turn the next corner. He has worked professionally for the Egyptian Theatre in Park City, Utah, and the Pink Garter Theatre in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Matt has supervised technical UST builds for such show as Urinetown, Absurd Person Singular, The Cherry Orchard, King Lear, Doubt, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Matt has also been a member of the Old Lyric Repertory Company for three years. Originally from Salt Lake City, Matt is married and the father of a four-year-old boy and one on the way!
