Adrianne Moore is a Professor, the Department Head and teaches voice and directing She has also taught theatre for the Semester at Sea Program through the University of Virginia. Adrianne has directed numerous productions for Utah State Theatre (UST) including Much Ado About Nothing, Time Stands Still, Reasons to Be Pretty, Candida, A Soldier’s Tale, Proof, Our Country’s Good, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, West Side Story, Anton in Show Business, Hay Fever, Cabaret and James and the Giant Peach. She has also served as dialect coach on a range of productions for both the Theatre and the Opera programs. She is the Artistic Producer of the Lyric Repertory Company. Her directing credits for the company include Macbeth, Wait Until Dark, Last Train to Nibroc, The Woman in Black, Always Patsy Cline, The Foreigner, Relative Values, The Rivals and Sylvia and she has also served as company dialect coach for many seasons. Other professional directing credits include Rapture Blister Burn, 4000 miles, How to Make a Rope Swing, Do Not Hit Golf Balls into Mexico, Circle Mirror Transformation and Hold Please for the Salt Lake Acting Company, Emergence for the Crossroads Project, The Mikado for Utah Festival Opera, and Peter Pan for The Egyptian Theatre. Her extensive work as a dialect and vocal coach includes productions for American Players Theatre (Our Country’s Good), Utah Shakespeare Festival (Dracula, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Sherlock Holmes – The Final Adventure, Boeing Boeing) Pioneer Theatre Company, (Charles III, Dracula, My Fair Lady, The Heiress, Pride and Prejudice, The Importance of Being Earnest) Salt Lake Acting Company, (Over twenty productions including Streetlight Woodpecker, Tribes, Good People, Venus In Fur, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Red, Angels In America, Charm, The Caretaker, Skin In Flames, I Am My Own Wife, Polish Joke, and Memory Of Water) Utah Contemporary Theatre, Egyptian Theatre Company, Pygmalion Theatre and Tuacahn Center for the Arts. Film Includes The Redemption Of Sarah Cain and The AMC Pilot Galyntine. Adrianne received her B.A. in Theatre and History from the University of Auckland, a Graduate Diploma in Theatre Directing from the British Theatre Association in London and an M.F.A. in Directing from Florida State University. A native of New Zealand, Adrianne worked as a director, actor and teacher in New Zealand, Australia and England before coming to the U.S. Adrianne is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA) the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SDC) and is a certified teacher of Knight Thompson Speechwork.
